NOVEL ENTERTAINMENT TEAMS WITH TONIES®

FOR FIRST HORRID HENRY SPOOKY-THEMED AUDIO STORIES ON THE AWARD-WINNING AUDIO PLAYER

 

Oxford, UK – 4 November 2025. Novel Entertainment has partnered with audio-player company tonies® to bring two hours of specially adapted spooky stories from Horrid Henry’s treasure trove of fan-favourite audio books to tonies’ listeners for the first time, as the audio-player company spearheads a push into an older demographic.

The Toniebox has won multiple awards since it first came onto the market. Their releases until now have concentrated on successful pre-school brands, with Horrid Henry being their first release targeting older children.

Novel has seen huge success for Horrid Henry in the audio book space – its other partner are Audible Plus, Audible UK, Voxblock and Findaway. To date Novel has produced 100 audio stories for Audible Plus which are available individually and in various compilations and the company has also compiled multiple audio book compilations for Audible UK.

The entertaining range of stories that will feature on the Toniebox include:  Horrid Henry and the Cracking Code Cracker; Horrid Henry and the Evil Guardian; Horrid Henry and the Lucky Thing; Horrid Henry and the Miserable Musical; Horrid Henry and the Scooter of Doom; Horrid Henry and the Secrets of the Universe; Horrid Henry and the Super Monster Wheels, and Horrid Henry and the Treehouse of Terror. To herald the release, Horrid Henry and the Cracking Code Cracker will be made available free for a month, exclusively for tonies regular customers, via their app.

In the last two years, Horrid Henry audio books have gained: 355,000 minutes listened; 7,000 complete listen equivalents (total minutes/length of book); 8,700 unique listeners, and the Horrid Henry’s Stories podcast (which uses the audiobooks) has three million plays and an audience size of 120,000.

Horrid Henry continues to be a huge hit with children across multiple platforms. In addition to the audio book, the TV series continues to roll out in the UK on Amazon Kids+, Netflix and YouTube.
